Southeastern Minnesota Composite Squadron Receives Quality Award

The Southeastern Minnesota Composite Squadron was the recipient of a 2011-2012 Quality Cadet Squadron Award at the Minnesota Wing Conference in April for the second year in a row. When presenting the award to the cadets, Captain Brian Alwin, the current squadron commander, acknowledged previous commander Captain Gail Kephart's work in leading the squadron toward this momentous achievement.
Group4 Change of Command

The Southeast Minnesota Squadron was pleased to host the change of command ceremony for Group IV commander on Thursday, 14 March 2013. Major Jeff Bartelt relinquished command to Lt. Col. Matt Wiskow in a ceremony presided by Lt. Col. Clark Carlson, Minnesota Wing Vice Commander.
Mitchell Award to Cadet Justin Crow

The Southeast Minnesota Composite Squadron is pleased to annouce it's latest Mitchell Award recipient, Cadet Justin Crow. On Thursday, 25 October Cadet Crow was promoted to the cadet officer rank of Cadet/Second Lieutenant in a ceremony presided by Group 4 commander Maj. Jeff Bartelt. C/2LT Crow's family was there to celebrate his acheivement. The Mitchell Award is named for Major General Billy Mitchell who, as an early proponent of air power, is called by many the father of the U.S. Air Force.
